‘Live’ Flight Data

Data Telemetry

A data telemetry kit such as the one above allows the ‘live’ transmission of flight data from the unmanned aerial vehicle to a ground control station. These data might include the location of the UAV displayed on a Google Map on a laptop, the UAV’s altitude, speed, battery reserve and so on.

Conversely, and perhaps more importantly, data telemetry also allows the operator to send instructions, in real-time, from the ground control station to the UAV. These instructions might include a change in mission, circle above a certain coordinate, return to launch and so on.
