Dear Dr. Wich. I am just getting into Conservation Drone work using small multi-rotor UAS for habitat monitoring along Coastal Connecticut USA. I would like some advice, if you can spare the time. Here in the USA there seem to be very few Universities that are using small multi-rotor UAS for research and education – most are still in the prototyping and engineering phases. It is hard to believe we are that far behind. – Of possible interest to you is the fact that my university and LPJM departments of Geography and Health and Human Services (among others) are ramping up a collaborative MS and PhD programs… but no one in LPJM Geography is using drones….. thus my call out to you.
If you have time ,could you drop me a note via email? I will tell you more about our proposed work and would seek a little advice.
