Using conservationdrone images to automatically count oil-palm trees using the spatial modeller in ERDAS IMAGINE 2015
ConservationDrones.org provided images to Sterling Geo to develop an automated method for counting palm trees from UAV imagery using ERDAS IMAGINE 2015 Spatial Modeller. For further information visit http://www.sterlinggeo.com
The Sterling Geo team made a video that illustrates the process.
Hello Serge,
I have been seeing several posts about oil palm landscapes and respective data analysis.
As I asked here (http://goo.gl/Ebj1IC), could you shortly elucidate in which way the mapping of oil palms is related to a conservation work?
I just would like to understand if oil palm plantations can or are being used in a somewhat more sustainable way, since I never heard about such a case.
Cheers
