People often ask us about the lifespan of our drones. It really depends on many factors: the material and build of the drones, the terrain, how frequent it is used and so on. The FPV Raptor by Lanyu is one of the first few models we used to build our Conservation Drones. We brought a few units to Nepal and several other countries in 2012 for various conservation applications. Recently, we had a chance to re-visit one of these ‘grandfather’ units. Surprisingly, it was still in service in Nepal after more than a year in spite of the very rough terrain it was operating in. After giving it some light servicing and maintenance, it was reborn and flies as good as new again!
