The launch with a bungee cord is safer than by hand. We have it programmed so that the prop only starts spinning above a certain speed so that during the initial phase of the launch the prop does not spin which reduces risk. Also the plane stays more level with a launch like this and that reduces risk of a bad take-off as well.
