we need help to count the menhaden ( forage fish ) schools in the Maryland Chesapeake Bay to prove the factory fishing in the Virginia Bay is wiping out this vital food supply and our fish , ospreys and eagles etc are suffering. A lot of the technical protocol for such a survey was done years ago but we need to get the actual work done. SEE journal article Aerial surveys of fish in estuaries by Churnside in ICES journal of Marine Science ( 2011 ) We can provide all the background material to a qualified organization or funding source willing to assist in this effort ..If we can find technical support on the optics and programing, possibly using the Churnside methods or what has been developed since I believe we can find pilots to fly the grids with regular aircraft to get started while we bring the aerial drone equipment through the testing stage .
