So many terms for the things we fly! Drone, uav, uas, and so forth! What to use?

‘Drone’: technically correct, popularly accepted, socially acceptable: Different fields use different terms, but by changing its title, the journal Drone Systems and Applications (formerly the Journal of Unmanned Vehicle Systems) is advocating for the discontinuation of ‘unmanned’ and recognition of ‘drone’ as an umbrella term for all robotic vehicles.
