Dear Mr. Pin,
I am Duan, a biodiversity specialist from Indonesia. I have been very excited knowing about all superb stuff this conservation drones could do. And its indeed make me realized that one (cheap) drone can be a very good tool to solve my problem. Last year I was trying to do habitat assessment of five sympatric primates in patchy and a very heavily disturbed forest in South Sumatra. in the mapping, the hardest thing to do is to confidently differentiate between the scattered forest patch and the old-growth rubber plantation. they both very much if we judge from low resolution remote sensing data. This is very important to do because (among other output) the agile gibbon (Hylobates agilis) and silvery lutung (Trachypithecus cristatus) seem only choose the forest patch, while the other primates can tolerate the plantation. I would very happy to get contact with you and would like to know what you would like to suggest on planning to use this conservation drone approach. I know nothing about drone but I would very eager to learn. my email is: duanaud@yahoo.com
best wishes,
duan
